Children & Youth
At Primary School? Secondary School? You are so welcome to be a part of what we do. We want you to feel welcome at FBC. We try to to do things for all ages, but we also have stuff that is more tailored for you to have fun, learn and grow with others your age. Read on for a glimpse into what is going on, first for children, then for youth…
Children (0 to school year 6)
On Sundays
Junior COSMIC (Children on Sunday Morning in Church) caters for a wide range of ages from babies to Primary School age. We have a fairly open-ended approach to how we learn – through stories, song, craft and play – so that children can learn about Jesus at an appropriate level for their age.
On Thursdays
Wait Wait Wait (WWW) is a group for children and young people from Year Three onwards. We have a real range of ages and we always try to do things that will be fun for all. Evenings vary between games, challenges, making things, going out or a mixture of these. There’s always tuck and hopefully a chance just to enjoy being with others. 6.30pm – 7.30pm at the Church.

Youth (school years 7-11)
On Sundays
Senior COSMIC meets in The Shed (soon to be completely refurbished – yay, no more icicles!) to learn from God’s word in ways that are relevant to young people. We start with all other ages in church at 10.30am and then have about an hour from 11am-12noon together.
Every couple of months we also go to a Youth Event in Somerton called The Bridge, which is a chance to meet with other young people in the area and worship, discuss, as well as eat and drink nice things!

Wait Wait Wait (WWW) is a group with a real mixture of ages, with a few Junior School as well as Secondary age children. We try to do a variety of things that will appeal to a wide age range. Evenings vary between games, challenges, making things, going out or a mixture of these. There’s always tuck and hopefully a chance just to enjoy being with others. 6.30pm – 7.30pm at the Church.
Cell Group happens every other Thursday during term time for anyone in Secondary School. It is a fun time of learning, chatting, thinking, discussing, eating and drinking nice things! We are currently having a look at what Jesus was saying in his ‘Sermon on the Mount’ and how that works for us. 7.30pm – 9pm usually at Wendy & Steve’s house.
